QuranWords (“we”, “the app”) helps you learn Qur'anic Arabic word-by-word. This page explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account: if you sign in, we store your email address and (optionally) display name.
- Learning progress: which words you've learned, saved, or reviewed, plus streaks and XP.
- Preferences: language, font size, reciter, theme.
- AI questions: if you ask the AI teacher, we store your question and its answer to improve the service.
- Anonymous usage analytics: we use privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) — no cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking.
What we don't collect
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't show third-party ads.
- We don't use tracking cookies.
Where data is stored
Data is stored on our managed cloud backend (Supabase, EU/US regions). The Quran text, translations, and audio come from public sources (see the Credits page).
Your rights
You can export, correct, or delete your data at any time from Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account removes all your progress, saved words, AI chats, and account record permanently.
Children
QuranWords is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.
